These are our Accounting & Finance Qualification which include progression to University degrees. They also provide progression from levels 3 to 8 and were developed with input from colleges, higher education institutions and sector skills councils.

Including a range of optional units at every level these qualifications allow centres and learners to specialise in different areas whilst using the mandatory units to develop core knowledge required by all managers.

Course Overview

The objective of the UKAP Level 3 Diploma in Accounting & Finance qualification is to provide learners with an in depth understanding of the operations and structure of Accounting & Finance. Successful completion of this qualification will equip learners with the underpinning knowledge and skills required to succeed in employment or further studies.

Equivalences

UKAP qualifications at QCF Level 3 represent practical knowledge, skills, capabilities and competences that are assessed in academic terms as being equivalent to GCE O Levels.

Entry Requirements

UKAP Level 3 qualifications can be offered to learners from age 16. UKAP does not specify entry requirements for these qualifications. UKAP ensures that learners admitted to the programme have sufficient capability at the right level to undertake the learning and assessment criteria.

UKAP Centre must ensure learners are recruited with integrity onto appropriate qualifications that will meet their needs, enable and facilitate learning and achievement enable progression. The qualification is offered in English.

English requirements: If a learner is not from a majority English-speaking country must provide evidence of English language competency.

Course Overview

The objective of the UKAP Level 5 Diploma in Accounting & Finance at UKAP, you’ll learn about the preparation, presentation and interpretation of financial information that enables investors, lenders, management, employees, government and others to make effective decisions.

You’ll also learn how to read and interpret accounting information in the annual reports of businesses and the financial information within the public sector, and become familiar with the principles and practice of presenting information to those who manage all types of organisations.

Accounting at UKAP is fully accredited by Higher Learning Commission of UK and DETC accrediting body in the majority of study combinations, as well as offering possible exemptions to other professional bodies, eg Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Equivalences

UKAP qualifications at QCF Level 5 represent practical knowledge, skills, capabilities and competences that are assessed in academic terms as being equivalent to first year of Bachelor Degree Level.

Course Modules

  • The UKAP Level 5 Diploma in Accounting & Finance consists of 6 mandatory units for a combined total of 120 credits, 1200 hours Total Qualification Time (TQT) and 480 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) for the completed qualification..

A Level 4 diploma or Year 1 Bachelors Degree or any equivalent overseas qualification

Or

In case of no formal education, learners can gain entry on the basis of work experience.

Learners having 5 years of work experience or more are eligible in case of no formal educational qualification.

English Requirements: If a learner is not from a majority English speaking country must provide evidence of English language competency.

Successful completion of this qualification will equip learners with the underpinning knowledge and skills required to succeed in employment or further studies.

Equivalences

UKAP qualifications at QCF Level 6 represent practical knowledge, skills, capabilities and competences that are assessed in academic terms as being equivalent to Bachelor Degree/BSc (Hons.) / BS. year 3 Undergraduate Degree, Level 6 Certificate/ Diploma/ Graduate Diploma.

UKAP qualifications at QCF Level 7 represent practical knowledge, skills, capabilities and competences that are assessed in academic terms as being equivalent to Masters Levels/ MS Degree, Level 7 Certificate/ Diploma/ Postgraduate Diploma.

For entry onto the Level 7 Diploma qualification, learners must possess:

A complete Bachelor’s degree, UK level 6 diploma or an equivalent overseas qualification

Learners must be 22 years or older at the beginning of the course.

Learner must have 5 years of working experience in the relevant field.

UKAP Centre must ensure learners are recruited with integrity onto appropriate qualifications that will meet their needs, enable and facilitate learning and achievement enable progression. The qualification is offered in English.

English requirements: If a learner is not from a majority English-speaking country must provide evidence of English language competency.

The objective of the UKAP Level 8 Diploma in Accounting & Finance qualification is to provide learners with an in depth understanding of the operations and structure of Accounting & Finance. Successful completion of this qualification will equip learners with the underpinning knowledge and skills required to succeed in employment or further studies.

UKAP qualifications at QCF Level 8 represent practical knowledge, skills, capabilities and competences that are assessed in academic terms as being equivalent to Doctorate Levels, DBA, PhD, Level 8 Diploma.

Entry Requirements

For entry onto the Level 8 Diploma qualification, learners must possess:

A Master’s / MS degree in related subject, Bachelor’s degree, UK level 7 diploma or an equivalent overseas qualification.

Learners must be 24 years or older at the beginning of the course.

Learner must have 18 years of working experience in the relevant field.

UKAP Centre must ensure learners are recruited with integrity onto appropriate qualifications that will meet their needs, enable and facilitate learning and achievement enable progression. The qualification is offered in English.
